Issaquah Market
One lovely Saturday we headed off to Seattle. At Issaquah we decided to stop for refreshments. I spotted a sign that begged to be followed.... that sign lead to more. What a delightful reward at the end of the signs.... The grounds are wonderful with lots to see and do. There is a Gazebo on site that was getting all spruced up for a wedding. They have a 300 year old tree that still produces fruit. Oh yes, it has vendors that sell all the luscious fruits and vegetables that one seeks a farmers market. When you are in the area you must stop and check it out. The Issaquah Farmers Market

Take your kids to the Market
Make sure you take the kids with you to your local farmers market . Many markets offer children activities , and all of them offer fresh, local foods. So take some time to find a market near you. You may be surprised at how many great products you can buy there – and make a difference at the same time. By taking your kids, you will be telling them the importance of buying foods that are grown nearby, helping your family to support local farms and farmers.

Mercado Villalodid
The most recent Market I visited was in Mexico . On the way to Chichen Itza we stopped in the lovely town of Villalodid . It had a wonderful Municipal Mercado or City market. I must admit it is a quite a bit different than Farmers Market state side but the produce was absolutely fabulous. As always the farmers were friendly and helpful. Though one lady did have trouble stifling her giggles when I called a fruit a tomatillo.....
